Cronos is a Canadian cannabis company that grows, produces, and sells cannabis products in Canada and internationally, primarily in Israel and select European markets. In Canada, Cronos sells adult-use products — dried flower, pre-rolls, vapes, edibles, and concentrates — under two brands: Spinach, a mainstream brand that Cronos claims is the #2 cannabis brand in Canada by market share, and Lord Jones, a premium brand focused on hash- and live resin-infused pre-rolls and chocolates. Internationally, Cronos sells primarily medical cannabis flower under the Peace Naturals and LIT brands, with Israel as the largest and most profitable international market. Cronos also sells into Germany, the UK, Australia, Switzerland, and Malta. Cannabis is cultivated at Cronos GrowCo, a 50%-owned joint venture in Ontario, and processed at the wholly owned Peace Naturals Campus in Stayner, Ontario. Cronos Israel, a 70-90%-owned joint venture, cultivates and distributes medical cannabis locally. Revenue is driven by volume sold, geographic mix (international markets carry higher average selling prices than Canada), and product mix (extracts tend to carry better margins than flower). Cronos carries no debt and holds approximately $824M in cash and short-term investments. Altria holds 41% of Cronos' shares and provides strategic support. Near-term growth is focused on supply expansion via a recently completed GrowCo capacity expansion, international market penetration, and new product formats.
