DESCRIPTION

Kornit Digital makes industrial digital printing systems for the textile and apparel industry. Kornit's two core product lines are Direct-to-Garment (DTG), which prints onto finished garments like T-shirts and sweatshirts, and Direct-to-Fabric, which prints onto rolls of fabric that are then cut and sewn into finished goods. Key DTG systems include the Atlas MAX Plus, the Atlas MAX Poly for polyester and sportswear, and the Apollo, Kornit's highest-capacity system targeting high-volume bulk apparel production. The Direct-to-Fabric segment is anchored by the Presto MAX system, targeting fashion, home décor, and footwear. Kornit also sells proprietary NeoPigment ink, consumables, software, and services. Kornit's core customers are print-on-demand platforms, custom apparel producers, brands, and screen printers transitioning to digital. The fundamental value proposition is enabling short-run, on-demand, and customized production without the setup complexity of analog screen printing — a single garment can be printed as cheaply as thousands, which is impossible with screen printing. Kornit's traditional model involves outright equipment sales followed by recurring ink and consumable revenue. Kornit introduced an All-Inclusive Click (AIC) model in 2024, under which Kornit retains system ownership and customers pay a per-impression fee covering equipment, ink, and services — converting Kornit's model toward usage-based recurring revenue. Kornit exited FY25 with ~$25M in ARR from AIC. Kornit's growth strategy focuses on converting analog screen printers to digital, growing impressions across its installed base, and expanding into adjacent markets including footwear and technical apparel.
