DESCRIPTION

Stellantis designs, manufactures, and sells passenger cars, SUVs, pickup trucks, and light commercial vehicles (LCVs) under 14 brands, including Jeep, Ram, Dodge, Chrysler, Fiat, Peugeot, Citroën, and Opel/Vauxhall. Stellantis sells vehicles through independent dealer networks globally. North America is the most important segment, contributing roughly half of revenues in normal years, driven by Ram pickups, Jeep SUVs, and Dodge performance cars — all high-margin, high-ASP products. Enlarged Europe contributes roughly 30% of revenues, where Stellantis holds the #1 LCV position with ~28% market share. Stellantis also operates in South America and Middle East & Africa, each contributing mid-single digit percentages of revenue. Profitability is driven by volume, product mix, and pricing discipline — North American trucks and SUVs generate far higher margins per unit than European small cars, making mix a key swing factor. Stellantis is currently executing an operational turnaround after a difficult 2024, during which it lost market share, built excess U.S. dealer inventory, and saw margins compress sharply. The recovery plan centers on filling product gaps created by prior nameplate discontinuations (including the return of the V8 HEMI to Ram 1500, the ICE Dodge Charger, and the new Jeep Cherokee), launching 10 new models in 2025 on shared platforms, and a $13B U.S. manufacturing investment to expand domestic production. Stellantis also operates a captive financial services business that provides retail and dealer financing, which is growing particularly in the U.S.
