DESCRIPTION

SKYX Platforms (doing business as Sky Technologies) is a small-cap technology and e-commerce company built around a proprietary "plug and play" ceiling electrical system. The core technology consists of a ceiling receptacle that installs once into a junction box, allowing any compatible light fixture or ceiling fan to be plugged in within seconds — no wiring or electrician required. SKYX has layered smart home features onto this platform, including Wi-Fi, app control, and voice assistant integration, and is developing an all-in-one ceiling-mounted smart home hub that incorporates lighting, smoke and CO detection, Wi-Fi, backup power, and environmental sensors. SKYX pursues a razor-and-blade model: deploy receptacles broadly, then sell compatible fixtures, smart devices, and eventually subscriptions and monitoring services. The company also acquired Belami in 2023, an online retailer operating roughly 60 websites selling lighting, ceiling fans, and home furnishings — this e-commerce business currently drives the vast majority of SKYX's revenue. Belami sells both third-party products and SKYX's own branded plug-and-play products, with the latter carrying higher margins. SKYX sells through its own websites, Home Depot, Wayfair, and directly to residential developers and hotel operators. Near-term growth focuses on expanding the installed base of receptacles through retail and B2B builder channels, with several large developer projects expected to generate meaningful revenue starting in 2026. Longer-term, SKYX is pursuing mandatory standardization of its ceiling receptacle through the National Electrical Code, which could drive universal adoption in new construction.
