DESCRIPTION

SentinelOne sells AI-powered cybersecurity software to enterprises worldwide through its Singularity Platform, which protects endpoints (laptops, servers, mobile devices), cloud workloads, and user identities. The platform uses AI models running on individual devices and in the cloud to autonomously detect, stop, and remediate threats in real time. A key differentiator is its "Storyline" technology, which builds a continuous record of all device activity, enabling contextual threat detection and one-click rollback of unauthorized changes. SentinelOne sells primarily through a direct sales force and a partner ecosystem including MSSPs, MSPs, and MDR providers. Revenue is almost entirely subscription-based, priced per agent, and recognized ratably over the contract term, making ARR the primary growth metric. SentinelOne's growth model is built on landing customers with endpoint security and expanding into adjacent solutions covering data/SIEM, cloud security, identity, managed detection and response, and AI security. The percentage of enterprise customers using three or more solutions grew to 65% in FY26, driving record ARR per customer. Non-endpoint solutions now represent over half of total annual bookings, reflecting the platform's broadening beyond its endpoint roots. SentinelOne's "Flex" licensing model is designed to reduce friction for customers adding modules over time. Gross margins run around 78-79%, and the company reached operating profitability for the first time in FY26. Key growth vectors include displacing legacy antivirus vendors, moving upmarket into large enterprises, expanding internationally, and pursuing government and sovereign deployment opportunities enabled by FedRAMP authorization and on-premises deployment flexibility.
