DESCRIPTION

PureBase is a small U.S. agricultural inputs company that develops and sells mineral-based products to farmers, distributed through agricultural distributors and co-ops. PureBase sells two core products: Shade Advantage WP, a kaolin-clay-based wettable powder that farmers spray on crops like citrus, apples, walnuts, and tomatoes to protect against sunburn and UV damage; and Humic Advantage, a humic acid soil amendment derived from leonardite, sourced in Ione, California, that improves soil health, water retention, and nutrient uptake to boost crop yields. PureBase sells through distributors including Helena Agri-Enterprises, Brandt, and Aligned Ag Distributors, and also private labels a product called Crop White II for Brandt. Revenue is driven by volume sold through this distributor network and price per unit. A key differentiator is PureBase's USDA organic registration for Shade Advantage WP, which allows access to the premium organic farming market. PureBase is geographically focused on California and the western U.S. The company previously pursued a construction-materials business developing supplementary cementitious materials as a lower-emissions concrete additive, but exited that effort to focus entirely on agriculture, which management believes offers higher margins and a faster path to revenue. PureBase is very small, operating with just two full-time employees and one part-time employee, and recently cancelled its mineral supply agreement with a related party, US Mine LLC, with replacement supply arrangements not yet disclosed.
