Crimson Wine Group is a U.S. luxury wine producer that grows grapes, makes wine, and sells it under seven estate-based brands: Pine Ridge Vineyards, Archery Summit, Chamisal Vineyards, Seghesio Family Vineyards, Double Canyon, Seven Hills Winery, and Malene Wines. In early 2026, Crimson also acquired the Raeburn brand for approximately $35M. All wines retail above $16 per bottle, with suggested retail prices up to $395. Crimson sells through two channels: wholesale (~55% of net sales), where wine moves through independent distributors to restaurants, retailers, and bars domestically and through importers in roughly 40 countries; and direct to consumer (~41% of net sales), which includes wine clubs (~57% of DTC), tasting rooms (~24%), and e-commerce (~19%). DTC is the higher-margin channel since Crimson captures prices closer to retail. Wholesale accounts for roughly 90% of total case volume, mostly in the $16–$30 price range. Crimson shipped approximately 372,000 cases in 2025. Only about 26% of Crimson's grape supply comes from its own vineyards; the rest is purchased from roughly 54 independent growers, making grape costs a key input variable. Crimson's growth strategy focuses on expanding DTC, growing wine club membership, investing in its existing brands, and selectively acquiring established wine estates.
