DESCRIPTION

EVERTEC is a transaction processing and financial technology company serving banks, fintechs, merchants, corporations, and government agencies across Latin America, the Caribbean, and Puerto Rico. EVERTEC operates across the full payments value chain: merchant acquiring (enabling merchants to accept electronic payments at the point of sale), payment processing and network services (managing card programs and routing transactions for issuers), and business solutions (core banking software, IT outsourcing, and cash processing). EVERTEC owns and operates the ATH network, a leading PIN debit network in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, along with ATH Movil, a mobile P2P payments app with nearly 2 million users in Puerto Rico. In Brazil, EVERTEC operates through its Sinqia subsidiary, a financial institution software provider covering core banking, investments, asset management, and pension funds. Puerto Rico is EVERTEC's largest and most profitable market (~61% of revenue), where EVERTEC holds a near-dominant position in debit network and mobile payments. Latin America (~39% of revenue) is the primary growth engine, anchored by Brazil and expanding in Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Central America. Revenue is largely recurring, driven by transaction volumes, accounts on file, and SaaS-style software fees. EVERTEC's largest single client is Banco Popular, Puerto Rico's dominant bank, accounting for ~29% of total revenue under a contract running through September 2028.
