Zeo ScientifiX is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company that develops, manufactures, and sells biologic therapies derived from birth tissue, targeting regenerative medicine and aesthetics markets. Zeo's two core products are Zofin, an acellular allogeneic biologic derived from amniotic fluid used for regenerative applications like joint pain, wound care, and orthopedic conditions, and PPX, an autologous biologic that concentrates nanoparticles from a patient's own blood. Zeo sells directly to physicians and clinics through a small in-house sales force and independent distributors. These products are cash-pay and not covered by insurance, limiting the addressable market to patients able to pay out of pocket, but also insulating Zeo from the traditional reimbursement approval process. Zeo has not obtained FDA biologics license approval (BLA) for its products, placing them in a regulatory gray zone. A near-term commercial catalyst is Florida's SB 1768 (effective July 2025), which allows physicians to administer non-FDA-approved stem cell therapies for certain indications, creating a state-level pathway for Zeo to generate revenue without a BLA. Zeo's growth strategy focuses on scaling sales in Florida, expanding its topical aesthetics line (including the acquisition of BioLumina and launch of the "Day Zero" brand), and a partnership with Cytora Therapeutics to commercialize an allogeneic oral mucosal stem cell therapy in the U.S. Longer-term, Zeo aims to pursue FDA BLA approval, though this requires clinical trials the company currently lacks the capital to fund.
