Panacea Life Sciences Holdings is a small, early-stage natural health and wellness company with two operating businesses. The first and primary business, Panacea Life Sciences (PLS), manufactures and sells nutraceuticals, CBD and cannabinoid products, functional mushrooms, and kratom out of a cGMP-certified facility in Golden, Colorado. PLS sells products under its own branded lines — targeting human and animal health — directly to consumers via e-commerce and Amazon, and to businesses via wholesale. PLS also does contract manufacturing and white-label production for third parties, with a particular focus on soft gel capsules. The second business, Panacea Distro, operates six retail storefront locations and a cash-and-carry distribution warehouse in the Tampa, Florida area, selling kava, kratom, hemp, vape products, and beverages. Panacea plans to rebrand these stores as "Pana Kava Java" cafés and eventually convert them into a franchise model. PLS argues that vertical integration — controlling hemp supply, extraction, manufacturing, and distribution — gives it cost and quality advantages. After facing CBD regulatory uncertainty, Panacea pivoted in 2022 to build its nutraceutical contract manufacturing business and has since signed over 40 contracts. Panacea has also invested in cannabinoid research at Colorado State University to generate clinical data to support product claims over the long term.
