DESCRIPTION

Edesa Biotech is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on inflammatory and immune-related diseases. Edesa has no approved products and generates no commercial revenue. Rather than conducting internal drug discovery, Edesa in-licenses clinical-stage drug candidates from academic institutions and other biotechs, advances them through clinical trials, and then aims to either partner with larger pharmaceutical companies or commercialize directly. Edesa's pipeline has three core assets. The lead asset, EB05 (paridiprubart), is a monoclonal antibody targeting TLR4, a receptor that drives inflammatory cascades. Paridiprubart is being developed for Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) and met its primary and secondary endpoints in a Phase 3 study in October 2025, showing a reduction in 28-day and 60-day mortality in mechanically ventilated ARDS patients. Edesa is now pursuing partnerships and evaluating regulatory pathways for this asset. The second asset, EB06, is an anti-CXCL10 monoclonal antibody in development for vitiligo, heading into Phase 2 with enrollment targeted for mid-2026. The third asset, EB01 (daniluromer), is a topical non-steroidal cream for chronic Allergic Contact Dermatitis that has completed Phase 2b and is being offered for partnership rather than advanced independently. Edesa funds operations through equity financing and government grants, including over C$37M from the Canadian government, with up to C$23M committed for EB05's Phase 3 activities and manufacturing scale-up.
