DESCRIPTION

Lipocine is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company built around a proprietary lipid-based drug delivery technology that enables oral absorption of fat-soluble molecules that are normally poorly bioavailable. Lipocine's one commercially approved product is TLANDO, an oral testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for men with hypogonadism. Rather than selling TLANDO itself, Lipocine licenses commercial rights to regional partners — including Verity (U.S. and Canada), SPC (South Korea), Pharmalink (GCC countries), and Aché (Brazil) — and earns upfront fees, milestone payments, tiered royalties of 12%-18% on net sales, and product supply revenue. Lipocine does not operate a commercial sales force and keeps its cost structure lean with only 14 full-time employees, outsourcing clinical trials and manufacturing to contract partners. Beyond TLANDO, Lipocine's most advanced pipeline asset is LPCN 1154, an oral formulation of brexanolone for postpartum depression (PPD), with Phase 3 data expected in April 2026 and a potential NDA filing to follow. Lipocine also has a next-generation once-daily oral TRT candidate (LPCN 1111), early-stage CNS programs targeting major depressive disorder, epilepsy, and essential tremor, and other pipeline assets in cirrhosis and lean mass preservation — most of which are out-licensed or seeking development partners. Lipocine's key earnings drivers are TLANDO's commercial performance in licensed territories, achievement of pipeline development milestones, and execution of new licensing agreements.
