JinkoSolar is one of the world's largest solar module manufacturers, based in China. Solar modules — panels that convert sunlight into electricity — account for roughly 95% of revenue, with the remainder coming from sales of excess silicon wafers and cells. JinkoSolar's flagship product is the N-type TOPCon "Tiger Neo" series, which represented over 99% of module shipments in 2025; the latest Tiger Neo 3.0 delivers up to 670 watts of output and up to 24.8% conversion efficiency. JinkoSolar sells modules to utility-scale project developers, EPC contractors, distributors, and rooftop/commercial buyers across nearly 200 countries, using a combination of direct sales teams and distributor networks. Overseas markets account for roughly 65% of revenue. JinkoSolar is vertically integrated, manufacturing ingots, wafers, cells, and modules in-house, giving it cost and quality control advantages over pure assemblers. Profitability is driven by the spread between module selling prices and input costs — primarily polysilicon, silver paste, glass, and aluminum. The industry has been in severe oversupply, pushing module prices below cost of production for most players and causing JinkoSolar to report a net loss in 2025. JinkoSolar is building a second business in energy storage systems (ESS) under the Suntera and Sungiga brands, targeting residential, commercial, and utility-scale customers. ESS shipments reached 5.2 GWh in 2025, and management is targeting more than double that volume in 2026, with ESS gross margins of 10%–15% well above current module margins.
