DESCRIPTION

Astria Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing treatments for allergic and immunological diseases, with no approved products or product revenue. Astria's lead program, navenibart, is a monoclonal antibody that inhibits plasma kallikrein to prevent swelling episodes in patients with hereditary angioedema (HAE), a rare genetic disorder affecting fewer than 8,000 patients in the U.S. Navenibart is engineered for extended dosing intervals of once every three to six months via subcutaneous injection — a potential differentiator versus existing preventative therapies, most of which require weekly or biweekly injections. Navenibart's Phase 3 trial (ALPHA-ORBIT) launched in February 2025, enrolling up to 145 patients globally, with top-line results expected in early 2027. Astria's second program, STAR-0310, is a monoclonal antibody that blocks OX40 on activated T cells for the treatment of moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis. STAR-0310 entered Phase 1a testing in January 2025, with early data expected in Q3 2025. Like navenibart, STAR-0310 is engineered for infrequent dosing. Astria funds operations through equity financing and outsources all manufacturing to CDMOs. The company has 78 employees. If navenibart is approved, revenue would depend on pricing, patient adoption, and share captured from existing therapies in what was an estimated $2.8B HAE market in 2023.
