Pioneer Power Solutions designs and sells mobile power solutions, primarily under the e-Boost brand. The e-Boost platform is a suite of mobile, off-grid EV charging systems powered by natural gas or propane engines, allowing fleet operators to fast-charge EVs without a utility grid connection — which can take 12–24 months to upgrade for high-capacity charging. The e-Boost lineup includes the G.O.A.T. (a truck-mounted unit), a trailer-mounted mobile unit, and the Pod (a containerized unit for rural or emergency use). Pioneer sells primarily to fleet operators who have committed to electrification but lack fixed charging infrastructure, including school districts, transit authorities, municipalities, and package delivery operators. Pioneer also operates a Critical Power services business, providing generator sales, maintenance, repair, and 24/7 support across more than 850 customers. Pioneer makes money three ways: equipment sales, rentals and leases, and recurring service contracts. Pioneer has recently launched two new platforms — PRYMUS, a modular 1–10 MW on-site power system targeting data centers and industrials, and PowerCore, a residential and light commercial product combining a natural gas generator with optional DC fast charging, priced around $50K–$60K per unit and manufactured by a contract manufacturer. Pioneer's growth strategy focuses on expanding e-Boost into new verticals like autonomous vehicles and shipping ports, scaling into distributed power generation, and launching PowerCore into the residential market.
