DESCRIPTION

Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) is a North American beverage company with two core businesses: cold beverages and single-serve coffee. On the cold beverage side, KDP's portfolio is anchored by Dr Pepper — now the #2 carbonated soft drink brand by volume in the U.S. — alongside Canada Dry, 7UP, Snapple, A&W, Mott's, and a range of partner brands across CSDs, juices, water, sports hydration, and energy drinks. KDP sells finished beverages to retailers via its direct store delivery (DSD) network, and sells concentrates and syrups to third-party bottlers and fountain customers. On the coffee side, KDP's Keurig platform is the dominant single-serve coffee system in North America, with roughly 47 million active households. Keurig sells brewers to drive household adoption, then earns recurring revenue from K-Cup pod sales — an classic razor-and-blades model. KDP manufactures pods for both its own brands and partners like Starbucks, Dunkin', and Folgers. KDP pursues growth through a "build, buy, or partner" approach, organically innovating within existing brands, acquiring fast-growing brands, and signing distribution and manufacturing deals with emerging brands. In August 2025, KDP announced plans to acquire JDE Peet's, a global coffee company with roughly $11B in net sales, and to subsequently separate into two independent public companies: a North American cold beverage business and a combined global coffee business.
