IT Services

DESCRIPTION

Value Exchange International (VEII) provides IT services and solutions to retailers in Hong Kong, mainland China, and the Philippines, focused primarily on point-of-sale (POS) system maintenance, support, and development. VEII markets its own POS software brand, edgePOS, and also supports third-party platforms like NCR/Retalix, with systems running across more than 10,000 POS terminals in the region. Core services include ongoing POS system maintenance (software patches, upgrades, and hardware support), IT setup for new store openings, and custom software development. VEII sells directly to large retail chains through a subsidiary-level sales force, supplemented by strategic partner arrangements. A key route to market is through Diebold Nixdorf's Chinese and Hong Kong subsidiary, via which VEII provides sub-contracted services to AS Watson Group — the retail conglomerate behind Watsons, PARKnSHOP, and Fortress — a relationship that drives roughly half of VEII's total revenue. Other notable customers include Robinson Retail Group in the Philippines, Dairy Farm in Hong Kong, and a large health and beauty retailer in China. Maintenance contracts provide a relatively stable, recurring revenue base, while project-based work tied to new store openings and renovations is more variable. VEII's cost base is largely labor, with over 360 full-time staff and third-party contractors supporting project delivery. The business is highly customer-concentrated, and operations in Hong Kong and China carry meaningful geopolitical risk given ongoing regulatory and political uncertainty in the region.
