DESCRIPTION

REMSleep is a small, early-stage medical device company developing the DeltaWave, a nasal-pillows CPAP mask interface designed to treat obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). CPAP therapy works by delivering pressurized air through a mask interface to keep airways open during sleep. REMSleep's core product claim is that the DeltaWave reduces "work of breathing" — the effort patients exert to breathe against the device — which the company argues is the primary reason over half of CPAP patients abandon therapy within six months. REMSleep holds a utility patent (2021) and a design patent (2024) on the DeltaWave. The company plans to sell the DeltaWave as a consumable device through DME providers, hospitals, sleep labs, and online retailers, with insurance reimbursement expected to be a key factor in pricing and demand. CPAP interfaces are typically replaced every few months, creating a recurring revenue dynamic. REMSleep has two employees, outsources manufacturing to mold makers in China, and has no meaningful revenue. The company has not yet completed clinical trials to substantiate its product claims, and the entire business plan — clinical trials, manufacturing scale-up, and marketing — is contingent on raising additional capital.
