DESCRIPTION

SELLAS Life Sciences is a late-stage clinical biopharmaceutical company focused on oncology, with no approved products or commercial revenue. SELLAS is developing two drug candidates, both targeting acute myeloid leukemia (AML) as the lead indication. The first, galinpepimut-S (GPS), is a peptide-based cancer immunotherapy that stimulates the immune system to attack cells expressing the WT1 protein, which is overexpressed in over 20 cancer types. GPS is in a Phase 3 registrational trial (the REGAL study) targeting AML patients in second complete remission who are ineligible for stem cell transplant — a population with no currently approved maintenance therapy. Enrollment completed in early 2024, and as of late 2025, the trial was approaching the 80-event threshold needed to trigger a final analysis. The second candidate, SLS009 (tambiciclib), is a selective CDK9 inhibitor in-licensed from GenFleet that suppresses cancer cell survival proteins to trigger cancer cell death. SLS009 completed a Phase 2 trial in relapsed/refractory AML, met all primary endpoints, and is advancing into a randomized Phase 2 trial in first-line AML. SELLAS funds operations through equity issuances and partnership proceeds, including a licensing deal for GPS in Greater China with 3D Medicines. If either candidate is approved, SELLAS plans to commercialize independently using a small sales force targeting oncologists who treat AML, given the concentrated prescriber base in this orphan indication.
