Invesco DB US Dollar Index Bullish Fund is an ETF that gives investors long exposure to the U.S. dollar against a basket of six major currencies: the Euro (57.6%), Japanese Yen (13.6%), British Pound (11.9%), Canadian Dollar (9.1%), Swedish Krona (4.2%), and Swiss Franc (3.6%). The Fund trades on NYSE Arca and is managed by Invesco Capital Management. It achieves its exposure by holding long positions in futures contracts tied to the ICE U.S. Dollar Index, with the goal of tracking the Deutsche Bank Long USD Currency Portfolio Index–Excess Return. Investors use the Fund to speculate on dollar strength or hedge foreign currency exposure. The Fund earns revenue through a 0.75% annual management fee on daily NAV, paid monthly to Invesco Capital Management. The Fund also holds U.S. Treasury Obligations, money market mutual funds, and T-Bill ETFs as collateral, generating interest income that contributes to total investor returns. Shares are issued only to Authorized Participants in blocks of 50,000 shares, which retail investors then trade on NYSE Arca in the secondary market. Because the Euro accounts for over half the currency basket, the Fund's performance is driven largely by the dollar-euro exchange rate.
