DESCRIPTION

Luvu Brands designs, manufactures, and sells foam-based consumer lifestyle products across three brands: Liberator, Jaxx, and Avana. All products are made at a single 140,000-square-foot vertically integrated facility in Atlanta, Georgia. Liberator is the core brand and primary revenue driver — it makes shaped foam cushions, props, and furniture designed to enhance sexual intimacy, sold through adult specialty retailers, e-tailers, and directly via liberator.com. Jaxx makes casual indoor and outdoor seating, including bean bags, daybeds, and modular furniture, targeting consumers, schools, and interior designers. Avana makes specialty sleep and comfort products — pillows, wedges, and inclined bed supports — targeting consumers managing acid reflux, chronic pain, or recovering from surgery. Luvu Brands sells through its own e-commerce websites, Amazon, Walmart, specialty retailers, and wholesale distributors, with Amazon accounting for roughly a third of net sales. The vertically integrated manufacturing model is central to the business: Luvu Brands handles fabric cutting, foam contouring, sewing, assembly, and vacuum packaging in-house, and repurposes over 4,000 pounds of polyurethane foam trim daily into Jaxx bean bag fill. Products are vacuum- or roll-compressed for shipping to reduce freight costs. The main cost drivers are polyurethane foam, specialty fabrics, and labor. Seasonality is meaningful, with peak demand around December and Valentine's Day.
