DESCRIPTION

ProMIS Neurosciences is a clinical-stage biotech developing antibody therapies and therapeutic vaccines for neurodegenerative diseases caused by misfolded proteins, including Alzheimer's, ALS, and Parkinson's. The company has no products on the market and no product revenues. ProMIS' core thesis is that diseases like Alzheimer's are driven by toxic, misfolded forms of proteins — and that antibodies designed to target only those toxic forms, while leaving healthy protein intact, can improve efficacy and reduce side effects versus existing approaches. ProMIS' lead program is PMN310, a monoclonal antibody targeting toxic amyloid-beta oligomers in Alzheimer's disease, currently in a Phase 1b clinical trial (PRECISE-AD) enrolling 144 patients across 21 U.S. sites, with top-line data expected in early 2027. PMN310 received FDA Fast Track designation in July 2025. ProMIS generates its antibody candidates using EpiSelect, a computational platform licensed from UBC that models protein misfolding to identify epitopes unique to the toxic form of a protein. Beyond PMN310, ProMIS has two additional mAb candidates — PMN267 for ALS and PMN442 for Parkinson's and related diseases — both in IND-enabling studies. ProMIS also has preclinical therapeutic vaccine programs across multiple disease areas. The company's business model is to advance programs to early clinical proof-of-concept and then out-license to larger pharma partners for further development and commercialization, generating license fees, milestones, and royalties. ProMIS funds operations through equity issuances.
