DESCRIPTION

Western Copper and Gold is a Canadian mineral exploration company with a single focus: advancing the Casino Project, one of the largest undeveloped copper-gold deposits in Canada. The Casino Project is located in the Yukon Territory, roughly 300 km northwest of Whitehorse, and covers approximately 21,288 hectares of quartz claims and 1,323 hectares of placer claims. Western Copper and Gold acquired the original Casino claims in 2006 and has expanded the property through staking and acquisition since. The company generates no revenue and funds operations by raising equity through capital markets. A Feasibility Study for the Casino Project has been completed, which is a key development milestone. Western Copper and Gold's stated path to value realization is either building and operating a mine itself — generating revenue from copper and gold production — or selling or joint venturing the project to a larger mining company. With only 16 employees, the company relies heavily on outside consultants for technical work in geology, engineering, metallurgy, and environmental management.
