Gentor Resources is a dormant shell company with no active operations, no revenue, and no material assets. Gentor's history spans exploration-stage mining activity across multiple geographies — copper exploration in Oman and Turkey, and a molybdenum-tungsten project in Idaho — none of which resulted in a producing mine. Gentor sold its Oman properties to Savannah Resources in 2014, but ultimately received far less than the originally contracted consideration. Gentor relinquished its last operating asset, the Karaburun copper exploration project in Turkey, at the end of 2017. Since then, Gentor has been evaluating new business opportunities without disclosing any specifics. In February 2023, the TSX Venture Exchange transferred Gentor's listing to the NEX Board, a trading forum for companies that no longer meet TSXV's ongoing listing standards. Gentor retains a single wholly-owned British Virgin Islands subsidiary, Gentor International Limited, with no described operations. Historically, Gentor funded its activities entirely through equity issuances, predominantly non-brokered private placements, a large portion of which were purchased by Gentor's own CEO, Arnold Kondrat.
