DESCRIPTION

MDwerks is a small technology company built around a patented radio frequency (RF) energy technology that rapidly ages distilled spirits. The company operates two subsidiaries, both acquired in December 2023. Two Trees Beverage is a craft spirits producer based in Asheville, NC, that uses RF energy to drive alcohol molecules into wood chips, replicating the flavor and aroma of traditionally barrel-aged spirits in a fraction of the time. Two Trees sells bourbon, whiskey, flavored whiskeys, moonshine, vodka, and ready-to-drink cocktails under more than 30 brand labels through retail distribution and an on-site tasting room. Two Trees also ages bulk distillate for third-party customers. RF Specialties (RFS) is the technology subsidiary that developed and owns the patented Spirits Rapid Aging System (SRAS). RFS commercializes the SRAS externally through a "Whiskey-as-a-Service" (WaaS) licensing model, where distilleries pay recurring monthly fees to use the system rather than purchasing equipment outright. RFS manufactures, installs, and services the units. The WaaS model is MDwerks' stated growth priority, with two SRAS units under contract for 2026 deployment and an international exclusivity deal with a spirits investment fund covering three countries. RFS is also exploring broader applications of its RF molecular targeting technology, including industrial sawdust drying and engineered wood products, though these are early-stage. MDwerks has just 13 full-time and 5 part-time employees across all subsidiaries.
