Xtra-Gold Resources is a junior gold exploration company operating exclusively in Ghana's Kibi Gold Belt, holding mining leases across five projects — Kibi, Kwabeng, Pameng, Banso, and Muoso — covering roughly 226 square kilometers. The company has no operating mine and has not yet defined any compliant mineral resources or reserves. Xtra-Gold's core focus is exploring for hard rock (lode) gold deposits at its flagship Kibi project, where the company has completed over 300 drillholes across multiple mineralization zones and plans a 20,000-metre diamond core drilling program in 2026. The company's only source of cash income is small-scale placer gold recovery operations — excavating naturally deposited gold particles from riverbeds and gravels — at four of its five projects. In FY2025, Xtra-Gold sold roughly 3,391 ounces of fine placer gold for net proceeds of approximately $4.2M, and has generated cumulative placer gold proceeds of approximately $40.4M to date. This placer gold income funds the Kibi exploration program, reducing the need for equity raises. Xtra-Gold holds a 90% interest in its Ghanaian subsidiary, with the Government of Ghana holding a 10% free carried interest and also collecting a royalty on net smelter returns. The company carries no debt and has funded itself entirely through placer proceeds and historical equity raises.
