DESCRIPTION

Unique Logistics is a U.S.-based third-party logistics (3PL) provider that manages inbound supply chains for importers, primarily on Asia-to-U.S. trade lanes. The company does not own ships, aircraft, or trucks. Instead, Unique Logistics buys bulk cargo space from carriers and resells it to customers at rates individual importers could not negotiate on their own, earning a spread on each shipment. Core services include air freight, ocean freight, customs brokerage, warehousing and distribution, and order management. Air and ocean freight are the primary revenue drivers, while warehousing and customs brokerage carry better margins. Unique Logistics's customers are U.S. retailers, wholesalers, and manufacturers in fashion, home products, furniture, technology, and automotive. The business is seasonal, weighted toward June–November ahead of the holiday retail cycle. Profitability is driven by shipment volume, the freight rate environment, and service mix. Unique Logistics's growth strategy includes organic sales expansion, M&A to build out its international network, expanding its warehouse footprint beyond its current California facility, and diversifying into Trans-Atlantic and Latin American trade lanes.
