DESCRIPTION

Astra Energy is an early-stage clean energy developer focused on power generation projects in East Africa, primarily Tanzania and Zanzibar. Astra's intended business model is to develop, own, and operate power generation assets and sell electricity under long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) with government entities. Astra's two core projects are a 350MW combined cycle gas plant in Tanzania, developed in partnership with the Tanzanian government, and a "Clean Energy Park" on Zanzibar combining a 42.5MW solar farm, a waste-to-energy system processing 15 tons of municipal solid waste per hour to generate roughly 7.5MW, and battery storage. Neither project is operational or generating revenue. Both depend on finalizing PPAs, securing equity partners, and raising debt financing — none of which have been completed. Astra also holds a worldwide exclusive manufacturing license for the Holcomb Inline Power Generator, which its licensor claims can generate electricity from electron spin in iron atoms with no fuel or moving parts. This technology has not been independently validated and is not contributing to any project or revenue. Astra does not own proprietary technology outright and relies on related-party arrangements for both its waste-to-energy and power generation technologies.
