DESCRIPTION

Radiant Logistics is a non-asset-based third-party logistics (3PL) company operating primarily in the U.S. and Canada. Rather than owning trucks, planes, or ships, Radiant acts as an intermediary — arranging freight transportation for business customers across air, ocean, truckload, LTL, and intermodal modes. Customers span consumer goods, food and beverage, electronics, automotive, manufacturing, retail, and government. Radiant makes money on the spread between what it charges customers and what it pays carriers. Beyond core freight forwarding and brokerage, Radiant offers customs house brokerage, warehousing and distribution, and a technology-enabled global trade management platform (via its Navegate brand) offering purchase order management and supply chain visibility. Radiant sells through roughly 30 company-owned locations and over 70 independent agent locations operating under brands including Airgroup, Adcom, and Service by Air. The agency model keeps costs largely variable, as agents bear their own sales and operating costs while Radiant provides back-office infrastructure, technology, and carrier network access. M&A is central to Radiant's growth strategy — the company has completed 33 acquisitions since 2006, focusing on converting independent agents into company-owned locations (eliminating commission expense and converting cash flows to owned EBITDA) and acquiring new companies to add geographies or capabilities.
