DESCRIPTION

Compugen is a clinical-stage Israeli biotech focused on cancer immunotherapy. Compugen uses its proprietary AI/ML-driven computational platform, Unigen, to discover novel immune checkpoint targets, then develops antibody drug candidates against those targets or licenses them to large pharma partners. Compugen does not aim to commercialize drugs itself — its business model centers on out-licensing programs to partners like AstraZeneca and Gilead in exchange for upfront payments, development milestones, and royalties on future sales. Compugen has four clinical-stage programs. COM701, fully owned, is an anti-PVRIG antibody in a randomized Phase 2 trial in relapsed platinum-sensitive ovarian cancer, with an interim analysis expected in Q1 2027. COM902, also fully owned, is an Fc-reduced anti-TIGIT antibody with trials paused pending Phase 3 readouts from partner programs. Rilvegostomig is a PD-1/TIGIT bispecific developed by AstraZeneca using Compugen's TIGIT technology, with 11 Phase 3 trials underway; Compugen retains up to $195M in remaining milestones plus tiered royalties. GS-0321 is an IL-18BP blocking antibody licensed to Gilead for $90M to date, with Compugen sponsoring the Phase 1 trial before transferring development to Gilead, and eligibility for up to ~$758M in additional milestones plus royalties. Compugen relies on contract manufacturers for clinical supply and funds operations through partner proceeds and existing cash.
