DESCRIPTION

Entegris supplies specialty materials and contamination control products to semiconductor manufacturers. The company's products are embedded directly in chip fabrication process steps — ensuring the purity of materials deposited onto wafers, controlling contamination, and protecting wafers as they move through the fab. Entegris operates two segments: Materials Solutions (MS), which provides chemical precursors for thin film deposition, CMP slurries and pads, cleaning and etching chemistries, and specialty gases; and Advanced Purity Solutions (APS), which provides liquid and gas filtration systems, wafer carriers (FOUPs), and high-purity fluid handling and delivery systems. The two segments are designed to work together — for example, MS-developed CMP slurries are filtered by APS-made slurry filters, and MS cleaning chemistries are delivered through APS fluid handling systems. About 75% of revenue is unit-driven, tied to wafer starts, making Entegris' business largely recurring and correlated to semiconductor end demand rather than capital equipment cycles. The remaining ~25% is CapEx-driven, tied to new fab construction and equipment purchases. Beyond volume, a key revenue driver is content per wafer — as chips migrate to more advanced nodes, more process steps and new materials are required, increasing Entegris' consumption per wafer. TSMC alone accounts for ~16% of sales, and the top 10 customers collectively account for ~50% of revenue. About 82% of sales are international.
