DESCRIPTION

Destiny Media Technologies, operating as Play MPE, runs a SaaS platform that distributes music to radio and broadcast professionals on behalf of record labels and artists. Record labels use Play MPE to send broadcast-quality audio, video, and promotional metadata to radio programmers, DJs, music supervisors, and media reviewers — anyone who can give a song wider exposure. The platform operates in over 60 countries and serves customers ranging from independent artists to the three major record labels. One customer, which management identifies as Universal Music Group, accounts for roughly 47% of revenue and is on a rolling month-to-month contract. Play MPE generates revenue two ways: charging labels to distribute music through its Caster software, and selling curated recipient lists of approximately 17,000 active industry professionals organized by territory, genre, and recipient type. These lists are Play MPE's core proprietary asset, and for smaller labels and independent artists, they are a necessity. Revenue scales with the number of releases distributed and the scope of recipient lists selected. In FY25, Play MPE launched a self-serve version of Caster, allowing customers to sign up and pay without staff involvement — a move aimed at making smaller markets economically viable. Play MPE also offers MTR, an early-stage product that tracks song airplay across radio stations, though it contributes less than 1% of revenue today. The business carries no debt and generates modest positive cash flow.
