The resort properties — The STRAT on the Las Vegas Strip (with roughly 2,400 hotel rooms) and two properties in Laughlin — target regional drive-in visitors from Southern California and Arizona seeking a value-oriented getaway, generating revenue from gaming, hotel, food and beverage, and entertainment. The five locals casinos serve Las Vegas-area and Pahrump residents, with revenue concentrated in slot machines. In addition, Golden operates 72 branded taverns in the greater Las Vegas area under names like PT's Pub, Sierra Gold, and Sean Patrick's, each offering food, beer, and up to 15 slot machines, targeting local patrons looking for a convenient, casual option closer to home than a casino. Slot machine play is the dominant revenue driver across all segments. In the taverns, a third-party operator owns and runs the slot machines, paying Golden a share of gaming revenue in exchange for placement rights — a capital-light model for the gaming component. Golden runs a consolidated loyalty program, True Rewards, across all properties. In November 2025, Golden announced an agreement to sell its operating assets to its CEO and its real estate to VICI Properties, a transaction expected to close in mid-2026.
