HyOrc is a pre-revenue clean energy technology company developing three product lines: green methanol production from waste, modular hydrogen power systems, and hydrogen locomotive retrofit kits. The company's core technology is its External Combustion Technology (ECT) engine, originally developed by its subsidiary SRE Power, which HyOrc argues can run on hydrogen and several other fuels while tolerating lower hydrogen purity than competing fuel cell technologies. For green methanol, HyOrc plans to produce methanol from municipal solid waste at a pilot facility in Portugal via a joint venture, then sell to shipping companies under offtake agreements — though no binding agreements exist and the facility isn't expected online until mid-2026. For hydrogen power, HyOrc intends to deploy modular units at ports and critical infrastructure on a pay-as-you-go basis. For locomotive retrofits, HyOrc is targeting rail operators in India and Europe, with a non-binding MOU signed with GB Railfreight. None of these product lines are commercially operational. HyOrc's only operating asset is a 2MW geothermal plant in the Philippines, which has been offline since late 2024 due to a legal dispute. HyOrc went public via a reverse merger in 2024, when SRE Power merged into a Nevada shell company originally incorporated in 1998.
