United States Antimony (UAMY) is the only vertically integrated domestic processor of antimony products in the U.S. The company mines, procures, and processes antimony ore into three primary finished products: antimony trioxide (used in flame retardants), antimony metal ingots (used in batteries, ordnance, and bearings), and antimony trisulfide (used as a primer in ammunition). UAMY operates processing facilities in Thompson Falls, Montana and Madero, Mexico, and sells to industrial customers in the U.S. and Canada, as well as to the U.S. government. In 2025, UAMY secured two major long-term supply agreements: a five-year sole-source IDIQ contract with the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency worth up to $248M for antimony metal ingots, and a five-year industrial customer agreement for antimony trioxide worth ~$107M. UAMY also operates a smaller zeolite mining business through its Bear River Zeolite subsidiary in Preston, Idaho, selling into water filtration, animal nutrition, and soil amendment markets. UAMY's profitability is primarily driven by the Rotterdam antimony spot price, processing volume through its two smelters, and the mix of self-mined versus purchased ore — own-source ore carries meaningfully higher margins. The company is currently expanding Thompson Falls' smelting capacity, diversifying its ore supply across multiple countries, restarting domestic mining in Montana and Alaska, and pursuing adjacent critical minerals including tungsten and cobalt.
